Portia has been training dogs since 2018 when she began raising and training guide dog puppies. She now competes in Disc, Agility, Dock Diving, and Tricks, and has trained in many other dog sports. Her dogs have been national qualifiers and won awards for their divisions in American Kennel Club trick competitions. Her current competing Elite dog, Chaka, has placed on several NADAC top ten lists for his breed, all around division and junior handler division. She also enjoys competing with her younger Rat Terrier as he gains more experience. 

Portia is the instructor for the two ongoing agility classes held on Monday evenings.
