The TAG field is available for individual practice for TAG members with field privileges. TAG instructors frequently reserve the field for student practice and notify membership of these practice times via the TAG Calendar.
All members and students are expected to follow the field rules ANYTIME the field is used.
To become a TAG member with field privileges, you must be fully trained on the safe usage and performance of the standard agility equipment. If you've never trained at TAG, but you've trained elsewhere, you can send in a video or request an in-person evaluation by a TAG instructor. Membership forms are not available to the general public. One will be sent to you after assurance that you meet the minimum competency standards.

TAG FIELD RULES
Field access hours are 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. seven days a week. If the front gate (at the road) is locked when you arrive, please be sure to close and lock it behind you and leave it locked when you leave after training. Currently there is no front gate for the shelter during construction. This may change once construction is complete.
DO NOT let your dog potty in the agility field. A potty field is provided in the fenced potty area next to the fields. Please PICK UP YOUR DOG'S POOP and deposit in the trash can provided. (Scoop provided)
Guests (including children) should stay away from the agility equipment and other dogs.
If others are on the field, keep your dog on a leash or crated when you are not doing an agility exercise. Do not let your dog visit without permission of the other handler. Please keep visiting to minimum during organized training activities.
If someone is already training on the field you wish to use when you arrive, you must ask permission to enter and share the field. If the person who is already there does not have a reservation, they have the option of using the field without sharing for a period of twenty minutes. If a reservation has been made, the person using the field has use of the reserved field for the duration of their reservation.
***It is important to note that you do not have to make a reservation to use a practice field. You are always welcome to go out whenever you choose. However, any member with field privileges who has a reservation will take priority over walk-ons.
Please see the reservation information on the Members Only page or in the TAG Members with Field Privileges Google Group.
***It is also important to note that you are not required to reserve one field over another based on the sanctioning organization in which you compete. The fields are called the NADAC field and the USDAA field to denote the type of equipment located on each. You are welcome to reserve any field that is available at the day/time you would like to practice.
If you are practicing on the field together with other handlers and dogs, do short sequences to avoid collisions or take turns on longer sequences. Be aware of what obstacles are being used by others.
When you leave the field, make sure:
Anyone who is not a member or student member of TAG may NOT bring a dog into either fenced agility field without first signing a waiver and paying a field use fee. Any non-TAG member wanting to use the field must be accompanied to the field by a TAG member with field privileges in good standing and must make these arrangements in advance. Email is usually the fastest way to coordinate this. Members who bring a guest wishing to work with a dog are responsible for getting the guest to sign the waiver and pay the fee. The fee is $10/handler.
ONLY TAG Trainers may use the field to train others. If those being trained are not TAG members with field privileges, the TAG Trainer is responsible for paying a $10 field use fee per trainee, regardless of member or field privilege status.
Always make sure you and your dog are having fun!
